The sink Dieresi is a monolith in marble that defies the laws of physics, where the relationship between solids and voids plays an extremely formal balance. A freestanding washbasin with a strong visual impact, an essential geometry softened by the smooth curves of the edges. Designed to stand alone or in pairs, Dieresi is made of Carrara marble. A project that retrieves an idea by Angelo Mangiarotti of 1970. The collection, made in white Cristalplant® biobased, marble or pietra calls to mind classic garden planters. This sculptural piece, with truncated cone shape column containing the central waste pipe, can support two different basin shapes. Used singularly they can be placed on Flat XL and Evoluzione ranges. MGM Furnari collaborates stone into its basins and products symbolize a “revealing sensitive forms giving life to communicative skins in continuous transformation.” (Lithea, 2010) DUNE is best represented in a bathroom for environment-lover, where it shows the embracing of nature within our own bathrooms.
